DAY OF CARING

Day of
Caring is a city-wide day of service
during which volunteers from area businesses and
organizations visit, assist, and complete
projects at one of our community's non-profit
agencies. Each agency submits requests for
volunteer help on a broad variety of projects,
ranging from building wheelchair ramps to
painting a nursery to landscaping around an
agency's office.
Build a Team!
Employee groups from your organization can be
matched with one or more of the assignments and
projects on the Day of Caring project list.
Not only do these agencies and individuals
benefit, but it's also a great
team-building exercise and a proven morale
booster for your employees.
Make a
Difference!
Many of the projects requested for Day of Caring
would be too expensive for the limited budgets
of these non-profit agencies. Day of Caring
provides opportunities for your organization
to assist agencies in completing those projects.
Your participation allows them to direct as much
of their budgets as possible to giving the
people of the Greater Texarkana area the
assistance they require to help themselves.
These is also philanthropic activities.

Nothing sparks a successful United Way
campaign like participation in Day of Caring.
Participants have an opportunity to see
first-hand how their United Way contributions
are being used to change peoples' lives, and
they'll pass along their enthusiasm to their
fellow employees.
